outdoor tomato planting
Could any one tell me when is a good time to put out tomato plants in the garden and how big should they be. Wait until temperatures at night are guaranteed to not fall below 10C, so probably the end of May or early June.  Ideally you want them well by artychris

Tomatoes from seed - potting on
I've germinated my first seeds and am the proud owner of 20 strong compact bush tomato seedlings.   I'm about to transfer them into little pots before they go into their final containers - pots on my patio.    Given that the patio pots can go by Supernoodle

Maskotka tomato seeds
The free Maskotka tomato seeds have almost all germinated and I've planted them up in a mixture of John Innes No 2 and 3 (as that was what I had to hand). They have shot up to almost a foot tall and are rather thin and weedy. Should I pinch out by Annee

Tomato leaf problems - help
My greenhouse tomatoes, which were doing well, are now suffering. This started off in the form of curling leaves, which then developed mottled brown patches and are now turning yellow. Some of the yellow leaves are becoming floppy and mould like by Gard

Tomatoes not setting fruit
wasn't that great. I believe that tomatoes need sunshine and heat. It's pretty warm these days, so maybe that will help. If it can be of any comfort, here are my moneymakers a couple of days ago (with the bright courgettes below) still no fruit by paull2

Tomatoe plants with no flowers !
Some of my tomatoe plants are all leaf and no flowers, is it too late now, are they unlikely to have flowers and should I just throw them on the compost heap? Everything is late this season because of low temperatures and light levels.  Mine by Mrs Lilly Pond

Talkback: Tomatoes: best varieties for flavour
While Gardeners delight is good, it has been surpassed for flavour by Sungold and Red Cherry Premium. Absolutely nothing wrong with orange or any other colour of tomatoes!! Indeed, yellow and orange tomatoes are recommended for people who have by bobnmal

tomato plant pests
I have some seedling tomato plants, a few of which are being munched by what I can only describe as tiny, thin, white spiders. They are eating the leaves, and the infected plants I have thrown out. They are in my greenhouse, but I had the same thing by ginagibbs
