Talkback: How to grow tomatoes in growing bags
to the stakes every few inches or so and i make sure that they are tied under every truss...its not a good idea to let more than four or five trusses form and i aim for six or seven tomatoes from each truss...everything else gets pinched off with the growing tip by Jacquie Platt

Recycling compost from last years tomato growbags
-chopped up stuff in the compost bins, it has been colder than normal and due to critical illness in the family I didn't get the change to put more insulation round the compost bins Can I recycle the compost from last year's tomato growbags? How could I by Frank E

hi, can anyone help, i have a tomatoe plant, in a pot, there is lots of fruit on it, but they dont seem to be growing they are still quite small, with a few biggeer ones, am i being impatient, or has the bad weather affected them,many thanks Do you by lynne24

Non chemical solution for blight?
mixed with something, does anyone else have any ideas? For some reason milk mixed with washing up liquid springs to mind but I could be just imagining that one!  10 parts water and 1 part milk is a formula for a fungal spray-whether it works for tomato by Lynne Currie

Too much time on my hands
After watching a clip of Monty Don planting Gardeners Delight tomatoes using 3 different methods has prompted me to write this. I have gained another greenhouse this year and have started my tomatoes off using air pots,halos,ring culture. I have by Willinghamboy

I have heard that you cannot grow tomatos and cucumbers together in the greenhouse - is this true? Not to my knowledge. Both mine did well in the same greenhouse last year. They probably would have liked to have their own growing conditions slightly by Yvonne Miller

Can I reuse, or should I discard?
I always keep the stakes to reuse next year. But is this a good idea?  Every year my tomatoes get Blight. And what about the containers I grow the tomatoes in? I always  wash these out before storing. Thanks for advice. Maggie I believe by staffsmags

Big Green Caterpillar
Earlier today I put a load of tomato leaves into the recycling bin, and then later I found a big green caterpillar inside the lid.  It's about 2.5cm long, very fat, big green eyes, and has diagonal markings with a spine at the back.  Does anyone by jancee52

Growbag compost hanging baskets
Hi all just wondering if it would be ok to use a tomato grow bag contents in hanging baskets with the likes of Pertunias and fusias in. Reason being as I've got a couple of spare tomato grow bags and thought they could be used. Cheers I have used by revid

My Tomato plant leaves at the very top are curling badly. Why is this and can you give me a remedy In my (limited!) experience with tomatoes Alan, I think it's pretty common and unless there are any other issues with them they should be fine by ALAN ELLIOTT
