Mini greehouse slugs
I have a small back garden and a small allotment plot, I use 2 of the plastic mini greenhouses (4 tiers) to start most of my crops off.  I have just been out to have a quick look at everything and find slugs have eaten 3/4 of my tomato seedlings.  I by wrightnuk

Raised bed depth
am in the middle. Plan is to grow Tomatoes, Onions, garlic, potatoes (growing in pots), french beans, spinach, rocket, might have a crack at carrots, would like to grow brussel sprouts but believe they need alot of room around each plant. Thanks again by bennett418

Re-using polystyrene for veg seedlings
I have about six ordinary polystyrene boxes that had bedding plants in, you know the ones that come in 6 3x2 cells. Would they be ok for putting veg seeds in ( courgette, cucumber, tomato ) ? as I'd quite like to reuse them instead of them going by In focus

fertilise when need be with a dedicated tomato food. Thanks for that Italophile.. the plastic green house is a low level one.. its about a meter square..it more of a large framed closh.....the pot will be about 20cm...My patio is a sun trap ..when its sunny by flowergirl4

What should I feed?
New to growing veg, I'm confused about what needs feeding and what to feed  with, I'd like to be 'organic'  I have a couple of courgettes, tumbling tomatoes,potatoes,cucumbers and if they grow minature beans. Thanks I am relatively new to growing by AJB

few things we have grown so far..
just thght i would put pictures up of the stuff we have grown so far what have you all grown? and would suggest to grow?  little gem lettuce rocket salad leaves and ice berg lettuce  spring onions also have tomatoes growing a mix of beefsteak by chellie

Purple leaves on Elan Strawberry Plant.
fruiting, but just wodered about the coloured leaves. She's in a flower bucket with MP compost. I've fed her once with liquid tomato feed. Any advice would be welcome. This is my favourite plant. I want to help her along. Here are some pics of the leaves by Insomnia1973

ideas for a container on a SW facing wall
also feeds it with miracle grow every year both before and after flowering and occasionally gives the leaves a spritz with half-strength tomato food. It flowers forever. Cant remember what variety it is... I chose it for her because yellow was so by debanslow

Hydroponic Systems.
. If the bulk of the country's tomatoes are actually grown this way, then it obviously works, and very successfully. TV gardener David Domoney exhibited a show garden at Hampton Court a little while ago, and the main feature was a number of ornamental plants by jean riley
