Where have all the birds gone?
everymorning.. i will tolerate it as they keep it away domestics cats are a damn nusiance.. not only taking birds but messing in the veg plot and digging up anywhere that has just been weeded out in ther.. they drive me mad.. by Lunarz

the theives think there was something worth stealing in the first place.  I've got a turn-button closure on it to stop animals and weather getting in and I trust my fellow allotmenteers (there are only 17 plots and we are on first-name terms with each other by Sandra 2

with butterflies this year - my garden is full of flowers particularly lilac, buddleia, verbena bonarienis. Having started a veg plot last year I've tons of cabbage whites and their offspring which I pick off and throw on the lawn for the birds. I can't begin by John Waters

banana skins on someone else's plot rather than their own. Banana skins add potash, and are good for things like roses and tomatoes. Don't know how you would find the person responsible, short of CCTV, but s/he might have done you a favour! Love the new by Lynn Drakelands

What is your kind of garden?
with their own little circle of earth around them, but they have to keep weeding. I like a mixture of shrubs,annuals and perennials and climbers for all seasons, with a small patch for a few veg.. There's never a time with no colour in my garden, even by Gardening Grandma
