Just saying hi and introducing myself :-)
stress levels have reduced dramatically.  I grow everything from fruit and veg to flowers and herbs.  Some days after work I don't go up to do any work on the plot, instead I just like to pop up, make a cup of tea and just relax in on the plot listening by veggiepatch1

Potatoes
are growing well( in the  veg plot ) Yes linnylou! I think I've had them in planters since mid March but the last few weeks, they've grown tons of leaves and branches and are about 40/50 cm tall - fully earthed up. No flowers yet but hopefully not far off by Linnylou81

Talkback: Roman remains on the allotment
I wonder if your plot was actually the remains of a Roman allotment, they must have grown their veg locally as they didn't have the means that we do to import every thing from abroad,I wonder what they grow most of for their diet must have been by Jane Moore

Soil ph
Does anyone have an organic solution for lowering the ph of my veg plot ? My test kit is showing a reading of 8 and the suggestion on the packet is 'sulphur of ammonia' which sounds a bit strong. Many thanks in anticipation. When I did a soil test by Ivyhouse

Talkback: Growing asparagus
very well. Hello AdamColeman, I recently inherited a veg plot with asparagus in the wrong place too. In my case it's too near the middle of the plot, so that when it grows up high, it obscures the plants beyond it from view. I was considering starting a by oldchippy
