hi really hope someone can help me here. at the bottom of our garden we have a veg plot. one big problem we have a badger that has decided to come and visit but is digging up out veggies. we had a fence put up going down the garden with concrete by Lyndsey Sammels

Allotment Heavy clay heavy mud
I spent all day trying to rotavate my modest sized plot unfortunately the mud and clay soil I have inherited was so heavy it stopped the tines turning on the Howard gem tank I was clinging onto for dear life but also at times the mud was so soft by Robert Miller

hi all I am very excited at being given a 1/4 plot after waiting 3 years for an allotment. There are some raised beds already in place and I wondered if its too late to be getting manure and putting on the beds, i don't really know what the soil by Tabbycats

we did get made lovely potato and onion soup which still gives great pleasure knowing you grew what you were eating.Happy New Year and Happy and succesful gardening 2009. i took on my allotment last year and was pleased to say my plot has produced by smithsindeed

Perennial weeds
with hedgerow sticks and the dried perennial weeds, cover it with a layer of turves and it would burn slowly overnight - sometimes a small plume of smoke  would be seen rising for a couple of days.  The resulting ash would be used on the veg plot for potash.  I by rmenmuir@btinternet.

Just moved into a new house. Totally bare garden, but soon to be a veg plot, currently under 3-4 inches of snow. Can't wait until weather improves and days lengthen. hi, i have been very lucky that the weather has been lovely today. i was able to go by john morgan

Mysterious plant
