Where are my vegetables?
Is it just me are is everyone experiencing no show with stuff they've planted?  I dug up half of my garden (because it wasn't getting used for relaxing or entertaining etc) and decided to have a vegetable plot instead ( to try to cut the cost by Diane Horsley

Completely new to veg growing
Hi all, Didn't think it would happen..... but will be having a go at veggies next year. The plot will be 10ft(L) and 6ft(W) in a really sunny spot. I want to grow something easy and generally low maintenance but most of all something that I can go by jackie frost

what they regard as pigeon snacks in to the veg plots !!The problem with digging up the grass and converting it to veg is that a) I alreday have plenty of veg space (lucky me, I know, but it has always been number one here) and b) a veg plot does by Pippa Greenwood

Help needed........
Hi, this is the garden of my new house, as you see what a mess! I am a keen garden goer...not so keen on the gardening! No I just don't know what I'm doing yet... Please help view from other end... I have been told by estate agent it is a plot by Duchess

. Thanks for your help. You sure can grow courgettes on compost heaps as long as there's plenty of sun as figrat says. Squash and pumpkins, too. Look at the number of volunteer veg that pop up from compost heaps. Good - all of the compost heaps are in full by Heather4

Sprouting Brocoli.
to replies. I'm not a veg grower but I am a veg eater and I reckon to eat sprouting brocoli before I see the colour of the flowers. You're not expecting it to look like that stuff they sell as brocoli in the supermarkets are you? What I know as sprouting by Gerry5

the flowers as there is no room in my mini veg plot. The "spare"cabbage that i just plonked in that border did far better last year than the ones i fussed over in the veg garden. by Pixley

veg plot and websites are saying up to mid-April is still good to plant them beacuse of the cold weather. What you need to do is to filter the air rather than try to block it.  If you put up something solid you'll cause eddies and currents that do by sally brighten

turned a chunk of our garden into a raised veg plot last year. I had two archways between the beds that the runner beans rambled over; forming a bean tunnel it was a thing of beauty. Everyone commented on how it looked, and it tasted great. I am eagerly by Jools
