confused..
of plants are best suited to your plot and if a lime dressing is required before you start. There is no point in trying to grow plants that prefer a high pH on an acid soil, or the reverse. I have myself made a list of vegetables that I would like to grow by lisa berry

Completely new to veg growing
Hi all, Didn't think it would happen..... but will be having a go at veggies next year. The plot will be 10ft(L) and 6ft(W) in a really sunny spot. I want to grow something easy and generally low maintenance but most of all something that I can go by jackie frost

realy big empty garden
partition off some private/secluded areas. A vegetable plot could be partitioned off, if one wants to grow vegetables (I don't ever recall seeing any vegetables at Hidcote).Partitioning is also a good opportunity to introduce internal hedges, which by Diana Reynolds

Talkback: How to make compost
to add my kitchen waste and ensured I had layers of cardboard but after several months the compost is no better. I put in grass cuttings, vegetable peelings, gone off fruit, tea bags, coffee grounds and egg shells as well as the cardboard. Any advice by jazcaz
