fuchsia leaves
Can you check to see if vine weevil grubs have eaten the roots? I believe that fuchsias are one of their favourite plants. I agree with Kate - if they are in pots, tip an affected plant out and look for 'C' shaped Vine Weevil grubs by Trevor Challands

What is eating my bergenias?
caterpillars on nightly searches. Surely it's too early for vine weevils? Help please! It may well be the adult weevil -they are up and about around this time. by Berkley

Talkback: Top 10 plants for containers
It would useful to have pictures of the plants mentioned on this page. I agree as i don't always recognise names! I really need to know what are the most hardy plants for containers. I have had my plants decimated by vine weevils and want to repot by shize56

Is  there any replacement for the chemical bromophos and is it any use against the dreaded vine weevil ? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Provado-Vine-Weevil-Killer/dp/B004R1V2YG any good?? I'd rather use nematodes - they worked for me last year on a really by Harry Sinclair

Soil pests
and filling it with water and there were hundreds of them in the "soup". How can I get rid of them. Previous years I just wash them off but their numbers seem to be on the increase. Unfortunately I can't post a pic, but maybe you could google vine weevil by Emjay

unidentified but is this it? Yep ours seem to have white ish cream spots Don't you mean vine weevil? No there is pine weevil too busy ...live in forest And lots of other weevils as well. some formerly a pest of flour rather than flower Bunny-bring me up by bunnysgarden

white bugs eating roots of fuchsia
when repotting my fuchsia plants i found white maggot loocking grubs had eaten the roots . what do you think they are and how can we stop this happening again as this is the third year this as happend. Ben. Grubs of the vine weevil-100% certain by Ben Drake

Wilting Cauliflowers
Just noticed several of my cauliflower plants are not putting on growth and have wilted. There is no evidence of pest attack and they are  as they are well netted and they are.not lacking water Any clues anyone? I wonder if it might be vine weevil by Baggies2

Jeyes fluid uses
Having read in an old gardening book that jeyes fluid can be used to treat vine weevil problems (to kill the grubs) and to spray against black spot on roses. I know that it cannot be advertised for these uses, since EU testing regulations have by Gardening Grandma
