annabelle outside. Have you checked the roots for vine weevil. Fuchsia growers best friend - dont leave home without it ! Scratch off some bark,if its green underneath they are still alive. Or, the greener version.   http://www.savethe.co.uk/nemasys-vine-weevil by tattianna

-I am suspecting the adult vine weevil if it isn't slugs or snails-have you put down slug pellets or any other sort of precautions? I had some skeletal leaves on my Stellata a couple of years ago and thought something was wrong with the plant. I had by stowv1

you see a new leaf forming in the centre?  If it has been outside during the summer I would inspect the roots as I have had vine weevil grubs eating the roots of mine in the past.  I am Keeping it in the House as well My wife has been watering by Petew

how to use nematodes efficiently
.They will only last for 6 weeks though.Last year amazon was the cheapest place to buy, I haven't looked this year. I used them last year just the once, in very early spring once ground was warmer than 10C I think...used vine weevil and slug nematodes, at the same by artychris

Star Jasmine with red leaves???
Hi all.. been in the garden for the first time in ages and been sorting plants.. plants & acers looking dead due to to vine weevil but the most confusing is my star jasmine.. its leaves turned red over winter and are still red?!  What can cause this by Derby411

which is the larva of the vine weevil, which eats roots, but I've not heard of it attacking an acer of substantial size. Another reason might be that the young leaves got blasted by the recent cold snap, in which case it will probably look less than it by Marilyn Henderson
