Can anybody name this?
pic hard to get a clear look. Can you add a good close up of the flowers and leaves. Do you live in Havering UK.? Sorry but this is not an Orchid. It looks as if it is a Viola riviniana.. a wild violet   https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Viola by Brendan Jones

Wild Flower Identification
Need a identification of this wild flower? ..looks like Erythronium 'Dens-Canis'... not a wild flower, it's a bulb... a very nice plant, I should keep that... I agree, a Dog's tooth violet.  It should form a clump over the next few years. Agree by cycling garden service

Pot bound house plant
is nearly 4ft high. I would like to split it into individual plants but am unsure how and when I should do it. At present there are no flowers on the violet. This plant sits on my upstairs window sill, but it is now taking all of the light away from the room by Lynda 5

June cut flowers
I'm getting married in early June. I'm on a shoestring budget but I love gardening and I'm hoping to grow my own flowers. I'm thinking small pot plants like pansies and violets for decoration and would love to grow some flowers to cut for some small by lyndsayg

African Violet
Well folks I've just found my way here as my favourite site for gardening queries has closed down while I was away on holiday. I'm still finding my way around so please bear with me.  Does anyone have any tips to encourage African Violets by grannycool

Unknown plant/shrub
it Thanks for any help Could it be some sort of begonia or pelargonium? I am wondering if it is sweet violet, which has heart-shaped downy leaves. Maybe stachys lanata? It has sort of nettle- like flower spikes. Clary sage ? by hollie hock

Hullo everyone, my flower beds are over-run with pink violets and they are a curse.  I doesn't matter how many are pulled up they still come back.  The roots are very deep and other than clearing the whole of the bed and digging them out I can by Ginnie123

Talkback: New plants for 2009
Roy, I've found seed available in the Plants of Distinction catalogue, so do send off for a copy. Searching online I've found plants being offered by both Suttons Seeds and Dobies Seeds, but there may be others. Hi there,l have two African Violets by roy.cowley@ntlworld.
