Root dripping water
around a foot square. Digging a hole to investigate I discovered a severed root that seems to be dripping water. Over 24 hours the hole fills up to ground level then stops. Our soil is sandy once the layer of top soil is dug through. The root in question by gary slade

Potted ponds in Thailand
will scramble over but I've never had that problem.  Some beetles are at home in water but others avoid it. Fab! we've a small and thriving pond (loads of newts and frogs, but never any frogspawn!), but some other options around the garden could look brilliant by Kate Bradbury

Cucumbers
I am new to gardening and am growing for the first time. I have some cucumbers grown indoors from seed. they are now about 6 inches high and ready to plant out. Is it too early (too cold) to do this now? Also, the seed leaves have started to dry out by Worm2

wrinkly rose leaves??
much every day for the past 5 weeks - they are free draining pots though. is it too much water? I had vine weevil recently in the other half of my garden over the main beds (but not in any pots I could see) and treated a month ago using nematodes by freshairfanatic

blanketweed
I have a small pond that attracts newts, frogs and other wildlife.  Despite having oxygenating plants, floating plants, a barley straw bag, a solar powered oxygenator and using biological products from garden centres I am still removing blanketweed by rose307
