Help - Water in water butt covered in green slime
of the garden. If yourwater butt collects grey water ie from your household taps then I recommend using a water butt treatment to keep it scum free, HOZELOCK WATER TREATMENT is good. Hope this helps by newby gardener

Beat The Drought
and the washing machine. Each of us uses 150 litres of water each day, and rainwater harvesting can cut mains water consumption by half. If rainwater is to be used in the home as well as the garden, underground tanks are better as the water stays cool and fresh by RWH

Watering

Problem with new Turf Lawn
I had a turf lawn laid in November in my front garden which is north facing. The turf appears to have taken well and despite no sun has grown several inches. Weather in East Devon has been very mild.  The lawn is now looking a little yellow. I by Devonlady

Clarify the drought pls!
Can anyone clarify what i can use to water my plants in my garden? I've heard you can use drip irrigation but I don't know much about this. Can anyone help. Thanks. You can water from cans. You really ought to be saving as much as you can into butts by JB1974

Good nice looking water butt advice?
Can anyone recommend a nice looking water butt that I can install on my patio? I’m new to saving water in the garden and want something I don’t have to hide away. Ideally it will have to be between 100 and 200 litres storage capacity. Something eye by Gardener1980
