Help - Water in water butt covered in green slime
the water in 1 of the water butts has developed a coveing of green slime, which now has 'bubbles' in some areas as well. Is it ok to use for watering plants or should I dump all the water and clean out the butt? It's just because the water been by newby gardener

Water saving for veg plot
I have 2 wheelly bins of rain water on my allotment, i never had a lid on them so the water is smelly with fallen leaves etc in there, is this ok to water my veg plot with or do i need to use a waterbut with a lid on, water? I would say it's fine by racwelsh

Self Watering system
I have been looking on the web for something that will allow me to attach a self watering drip hose to a rain water barrel to water my veggies whilst i'm on holiday. Does anyone have any experience of using something like this? by Phemaleflyer

Root dripping water
around a foot square. Digging a hole to investigate I discovered a severed root that seems to be dripping water. Over 24 hours the hole fills up to ground level then stops. Our soil is sandy once the layer of top soil is dug through. The root in question by gary slade

Strange water type droplets

water-logged ground
layer of topsoil on top of clay. Having now had a bit of rain over the past few months, we seem to get run off coming through from structures in neighbouring gardens leaving one border and the veg patch standing in water after any considerable period by Sez&Jon
