Red pond water
I've got a small wildlife pond which I built back in the autumn, I recently added some hornwort and a lily from my other pond, however the water has turned red. The hornwort is dying off, and I have noticed this week that there is also a red coating by Gary Newbold

Yes we had snow and the odd bit of rain, but your bulbs, daffs, tulips need water now!!! if you have baskets water them everyday.. you won't be disappointed! Give them a feed once a week, and when they go to seed pinch them off, and continue to feed by BrummieLeperBen

I think this is a good pollicy to only water the plants that need it especially in drought conditions Shortly I'll have a greenhouse so I read the advice on the site about damping down the floor in hot weather by emptying a can full of water over it by happymarion

Water butt treatment
Hi fellow gardeners , any tips on keeping water fresh the butt is in a shady area I have bought hozelock treatment has anybody got any thrifty tips I also use the water for my orchids and indoor plants my neighbour said to put 5ml of jeyes but I am by Rosie33

Talkback: Watering greenhouse plants
in plastic trays which I keep moist. They are certainly drinking up the water now. I have put my large garden umbrella over some of my pots outside to shade them a bit, and all my succulents are in the shade under a huge Bramley apple tree. It does make a by scruff

waste fish tank water
Hi, does any one know if the water I remove from my fish tank when I do a water change would help or hinder my fruit and vegetables ? I know my husband used to use it on our Orchids and they rocketed - loved it. Must be good for plants that like by paulchilds

Water butt not filling
I can see something about butt not diverting -but after that????? Sorry - first post! I've installed a water butt, a Sankey and it's not collecting. Water is draining straight out of the downpipe and I've searched online and can't find any problem by Miche

Water problems in my garden
me any help how I can solve this problem and stop the spring from pouring water into the garden!!! With the poor weather we have been having we just assumed it was this that left the garden waterlogged but this spring now seems to be the cause!!! I by Deano11

Murky water in Pond
Have a wildlife pond and last year could not get water clear. Tried oxygenating plants and barley straw. Pond is 4ft x 5ft  approx and have added 3 oxygenators  do I need more?  Is it located in full sun ? Yes There lies the main problem - the sun by LizzyT2
