Evergreen Feed & Weed
On saturday i put some feed & weed on the lawn, it then rained a couple of hours after and most of yesterday afternoon. I have noticed large black patches forming where the main consentration of weeds are bit it seems to be turning the grass black by Doctor_63

Plant or weed what is it.
Hi everyone. I did ask a couple of weeks ago if anyone knew wether this is a plant or weed unfortunately I couldn't post the picture I have of it.  I have taken a peice off it and have scanned it. It is now well over 6ft high still no flowers on it by RAGDOLL520

Weed growing on and around rocks
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone knew what this weed is that is growing on and around the rocks in my rockery. It's pale green in colour, and the 'leaves' are not leaves as such, more like tiny fluid filled sacs wihich feel spongy to the touch? It by Yorkshireman

Interesting when you talk about weed. In Germany you can buy Yarrow in almost every colour, which is a wonderful native butterfly- and a bee magnet. And Vinca is also sold here as a nice and very effectual ground-cover against weed!. Now that makes by kaycurtis20002000@yahoo.co.uk

lawn feed and weed
I threw the lawn weed and feed over the dandelions yesterday  and the starlings came down and was eating it will it do them any harm  Can't answer your Q but it's a tab bit late now if it does, might be better not to know the answer . If it helps, I by joyce mannell

Weed suppressing membrane.
Last month I read somewhere (probably GW magazine) about putting down weed-suppressing membrane on ground not yet needed for crops, etc. Nothing new, and a fairly common suggestion. However, does this really make sense in the long run? As I by Barney_pl

feeders. Then there are wood pigeons, mice and bank voles and magpies. Even the blackbirds root around my newly seeded vegetable bed for worms. All permanent residents. This is before the slugs and snails get going on the plants. As for 'weeds', I let by anon

Name that plant/Weed?
Hello All,  Was wondering whether anyone recognises this plant/weed?...Am guessing it might have been planted by previous owner as an ornamental type plant? But it seems to spreading like wildfire I have got it coming up everywhere... Doesn't seem by SebUK

"coffee". Wild garlic is great but the secret of enjoying all salad weeds is to catch them young and tender to avoid bitterness. When I weed my veg plot I always throw the weeds into my chicken run. The hens love them and often eat the roots as well by Dave Hamilton

weed supressing membrane
Does anybody know how long weed suppressing membrane has to be in position to kill and established lawn stone dead? I would imagine at least 6 months, 1 month has been suggested. I can't find written documentation on the test being actually carried by Jennifer Deegan
