Whitefly
Hi I have chilli pepper plants in the greenhouse one of the plants have some whitefly on the leaves. Can anyone give me suggestion on what to use to get ride of them. Cogie You can swat them away but they'll return. You can hang sticky traps by COGIE

Lice, whitefly and the like can be treated easily with nettles - simply cut fresh ( not dried - has to sting ) nettles and chop, leave in water for 24 hours and apply using a spray bottle ( make sure to use a fine sieve so it won't clog ).After by allotment51

ensete (banana plant)
I bought a lovely purple Ensete in the autumn, kept it in the house, growing well but noticed today it was completely covered in whitefly - it's about 1m high.  I have sprayed it with light soapy water and put it outside in a very sheltered spot.  I by Jilted

HELP
Hi there how can i get rid of whitefly from my African violets, i thought that you cant wet the leaves, i,ve only got spray. HELP. You are right in saying you shouldn't wet the leaves but you can use an insect spray on them . I' ve had mine by tony williams2

Poorly looking plum tree
I have a 3 year old victoria plum tree and it's looking very poorly at the moment.  I noticed that the leafs were covered in whitefly/greenfly after all the rain we had and sprayed it with a soapy mixture.  Now the leafs are curling up and looking by negh21

? Any one any ideas ? Sounds like whitefly, pamajo. If you grow marigolds (tagetes sp) near the polyanthus, you will deter them naturally. Tagetes are strong smelling and can be grown in pots or planted in the ground. I always grow tagetes beneath my by pamajo

the leaves went yellow and the flowers dropped off.I inherited it with the house 6 yrs ago. I have cut it right back. I have a honeysuckle which is infected with what I thought was whitefly, but these flying insects with the same characteristics as whitefly by rachelarna

. It is an organic control for flea mite on plants and pets (she apparently uses it to wash her dog) but also works on whitefly. There are loads of stockists on search engines. Hope this works for you by Elaine Firth
