butterflies. To me gardening & the wildlife stuff go hand in hand. I have loads they are around Not seen ladybirds up here for a long time. Lots of bees Typical isn't it, you go to all that trouble of building a home for out friends and they don't move in  I by susan howard2

grow very slowly in tufa so low maintenance too. Wildlife friendly can be so beautiful too. That's a lovely idea, happymarion, but I've already got the roof built now. The wildflowers will put on plenty of growth in spring.Kate I would love to do by clematis

Mini greehouse slugs
and the damned slugs and snails just crawl straight across.  Please help I am literally losing everything I have spent time and money on. You can get wildlife friendly slug pellets that are very effective and go out after dark with a torch and pick off by wrightnuk

What Am I
. Shape of eyes and one set of wings. Still a useful pollinator and gardener's friend. Saw a couple of bee flies a few months ago-  didn't stay still long enough to get a photo I've seen a bee fly. We had one near our pond. I had to go and look it up, I by Nick Hunt

rubbishy Bizzy Lizzies this year... Two of my friends have complained about their plants not thriving in Levington compost so there may have been a rogue batch as they have never had trouble before. I have no Busy Lizzies this year so cannot guess whether by Wildman of Pershore

Plants for wet shady area facing North
needles - again, name unknown.  I put wildlife friendly slug pellets down in early spring and again at regular intervals until early summer and this deals with most of teh slugs so teh hostas don't get full of holes.   Hi Musical Cricketer, I also have by Musical Cricketer

Snails - the French have the right idea
