Deer proof plants and shrubs
Deer eat almost everything I plant including thorny roses.  Apart from looking in other people's gardens to see what they grow I would like any information on suitable plants and shrubs please. Owning 10 country acres includes all the wildlife.  One by patgee

Frost
Hi everyone, first time poster, but long time reader. I have just walked round my very frosty but sunny garden and it confirmed my view that excessive tidying is a bad thing [my wife would confirm that this does not just apply to the garden] Anyway by nigelcoad

Saving Toads in and around the garden.
Hi all, In responce to the article in my april gardeners world edition "Toad In A Hole" (Page 58) I think that we should do more in our gardens to support Toads and Frogs. These helpful creatures can eat pests and add an extra amount of wildlife by Andrew Martin

wildlife pond, with a cat...
Hi, Been thinking about building one, but I have a cat and foxes are known to come in the garden. I don't want fish, just a pond to encourage more wildlife.Thoughts? Why not? The cat might catch the odd critter, but I'm sure there'll be plenty left by djjjuk
