all my spring bulbs are flowering now! how can i fill the gaps till  my summer plants come up? i have only borders and pots  where in the uk are you?this is very early.I could only suggest winter pansys. by alfiemoon

naturally. Waste of time feeding them after the leaves have gone, feed them in later Winter when they begin to grow. Once they have fiinished flowering and sometimes before, the flower stems are no longer attached to the bulb. Thanks by Bee friendly

Ive had a wonderful show this year with my first attempt with these winter flowering bulbs but Ive been told that they cannot be lifted and  planted next year and  should be thrown away. This seems a shame as I lift store and re pot all my other by Peter/

which are the best flowers to start off now to give me colour through the winter ? Violas/pansies, cyclamens, and polyanthus. I would also plant some spring flowering bulbs and consider a winter foliage container, either decorative cabagges or Ajuga by gill barker

I have a tree lily that is in a pot and this is the first winter and I wondering how to over winter. These lilies are quite hardy, but compost in pots can get quite waterlogged and cause bulbs to rot. I prefer moving the pot to a sheltered position by Sandra Worth

days more horrible cold is forecast. I have just potted 2 bulbs up and brought them indoors until they show some shoots. The perfume when they flower is just gorgeous I put 2 bulbs into about a 7" pot just in multipurpose compost Pam LL x I grow them by Cetti

what do u do with hyacinth bulbs when theyve finished flowering? cut off the stems or not? I am in the middle of trying two methods,you can either leave in the ground over winter,after flowering let the foliage die down ,and then cut back.They dont by Amanda 3

GROWING BULBS IN POTS FOR PLANTING OUT IN SPRING
I have decided to plant my spring flowering bulbs in pots because the squirrels keep digging them up.  Can I leave the pots in the greenhouse or do they need to be outside (protected from pests)?  Also when I have bought already flowering bulbs by LynneC2
