A bulb for all seasons
the smaller ones, so that you can get more in the pot. You could get quite a long spring display like this, then  when the bulbs die back plant seasonal plants for summer, removing them when they are over and repacing them with autumn and winter flowerers by Tina Duffill

Protecting bulbs from frost
Due to the balmy winter, a lot of my bulbs (tulips, daffs and crocuses) are already breaking well through the soil and the crocuses are starting to flower. Is there a cheap and easy way to protect these all when the later frosts and snow inevitably by Matt Beighton

Talkback: Nerine
like these appear to flower well.I'd suggest potting into a loam-based compost with extra grit added, as this will keep the bulbs going for several years. Hi Adam,I've got a pot of Nerine Bowdenii in flower in the garden at the moment, it's always by lorrie-koolkats

overgrown rockery
I have a small overgrown rockery which is riddled with couch grass, it also has autumn flowering cyclamen and spring bulbs in. My plan would be to remove the cyclamen corms and bulbs and then use weed killer on the grass and replant in spring. Could by Gill13

summer bulbs for shade
) and crocosmia. Crocus website says crocosmia is okay in partial shade so may well be worth a punt. You may be able to leave them in the ground over winter, too. In fact, you can search the crocus website for bulbs that like light shade and flower in eg July = 35! by Rick greenfingers
