Birch Tree losing leaves in July
are fairly shallow and I've seen them growing happily at the edges of marshes. Thanks Alina ... am conscious of her lifespan but dreading the day when our beautiful birch tree no longer graces the garden. She's long been my favourite - my Queen by Sue Higham

woodland and log shack stack
rather too many programmes concentrate on the problem of not having enough space. But there are a lot of gardens which have the opposite problem, rather large gardens, in my case half an acre to be managed. I love gardening, but the woodland by Vanessa Wagstaff

Woodland plants
that looks gorgeous and having read it's a woodland plant I though I'd see if I can propogate a bit of that and push it in.  Which made me think is there anything else similar that'd look as lovely. Soil is clay.  Needs to be low maintanence.  Novice gardener by Supernoodle

Choosing a damson tree
We want to plant a damson tree this autumn in our woodland garden. It will get plenty of sun in the planned position. We don't want it to grow too large, but we are hoping for a prolific fruiter with good flavour  for jam-making, crumbles, damson by wisehedgecrone

Ride on mower suitable for large garden
able to find a replacement deck in Austria but wanted well in excess of £1400 (exc. VAT), which I found somewhat ludicrous. It's very frustrating, but it looks as though the mower and accessories are now next to useless as a consequence. I have a garden by Jamesy

good effect of a wet summer
Cardamine quinquefolia, never had as many flowers as this in all the years it's been here.   looks like that a nice plant, is a woodland one? Ooh, lovely. You've reminded me to take a walk along a nearby stream, the field's quite boggy and wild by nutcutlet
