Wormery
In the winter there were hundreds of worms in my wormery It is now empty of worms and the wormery is just compost and no worms. Does anyone know if this is a common problem. They had plenty of food to munch so where have they gone? I did a course by Baggies2

I have inherited a wormery which is almost full of compost but which is very wet. The tap  at the bottom is broken and I have to use pliers to turn it on. Very little of the liquid comes out. There are loads of worms. I also need to know what by Loraine3

Help - Wormery liquid fertiliser
Two questions please.  The latest three pints or so from my liquid fertilizer from my wormery is light in colour, almost the same as tea - and smells quite acidic.  It almost fizzes when I add water.  Why has my wormery produced this in contrast by elliedaisy

Wormery question
I have had a Stokes wormery for two-three years now and it is mostly working fine. No massive worm death yet but at the moment it is getting a bit out of sync. The bottom and middle trays are not ready and the top one was full but now have decayed by Swedboy

Composting and wormery
put in it and is there a rule of thumb of how much of what goes in? I used a lot of compost for my tubs and stuff but really want a go at making my own. Also, is it worth getting a wormery set up and how do I persuade the worms to come and live by Sam Glendinning

Talkback: Worm composting all year round
with Henrik – don't use old man-made carpets in the garden, particularly those with foamy underlay. This can decompose to pollute your compost and soil. We just got ourselves a second hand wormery and are keen to start composting soon. One other thing I by John

worm compost
-or compost from a wormery? I read it as the from a wormery The thing to remember if you use garden compost with multipurpose -not only are in a sense diluting it but also composting does not necessarily kill off all the weed seeds if it doesn't generate by Alfierawes

Composter advice
and a wormery. A wormery makes a lot of sense in a city, I had a lot of trouble with rats and I do not need to wear wellies in the winter to feed the worms. If you have the space, I'd go for 2 containers, so you've got 1 being filled and the other by Citygardener
