I bought 4 bulbs and when they arrived the leaves looked good but the roots were wrapped around the pot right up to the top.Should I try to untangle the roots before planting .I am going to plant the 4 in 1 pot. by dotonthelandscape

wind burn
will my conifers recover and green again after damage from wind burn ? Have you got them wrapped now?  They will probably look manky but they should recover.  What kind of conifers?  If they are Leylandii? there not wrapped. there potted and placed by april2

normal date for seeing frogspawn in Bristol is Feb. 6th but not this year.  Will let you know. donutsmrs - how lovely. My small container pond is frozen over so next year I'll wrap it up with bubble wrap. happymarion - I look forward to hearing how late by Kate Bradbury

Bubblewrapping the greenhouse
of insulating air and an easier surface for the plastic clips to go through and fewer holes plants side for creepy crawlies to lurk and hide and breed. Thanks Having once heated the greenhouse and used bubble wrap I found it far less expensive to put the heat by Goldtop

Watering dormant plants in an unheated shed
cold-so it is best not too There are instances of pelargoniums just being wrapped in newspaper over the winter and left like that until the spring-so they really do not need much water Thanks   Chris by Chris 7

Talkback: How to insulate a greenhouse

Weeping Rose
until February If you can't plant the rose out until next year- just put some bubble wrap around the pot to stop the roots from freezing-but quite honestly it would do better in the ground. Thanks sotongeoff, its just that the garden is a mess and didnt by Brycey D

Fig tree
Hi Now the weather is getting colder at night should I wrap up my fig tree. I have about 4 figs growing do I keep these, they are bigger than a pea, is that correct, or should I take off the larger ones and keep the smaller than pea figs, very by Chris9
