tree fern
I have had a tree fern for about ten years,it is about 4ft tall and is planted in an old oak barrel,each winter it is wrapped in fleece and straw is packed into the rcown.It seems that each year the fronds are getting smaller and there are not so by GillyL

Tomato Ripening
the back  of the greenhouse from the inside with tin foil of white paint in order to increase the reflected heat and light. i've never attempted tomatoes myself, but my nan used to pick tomatoes when they were green and wrap them individually in newspaqper by Victor Cohen

Talkback: How to fit guttering on a greenhouse

Battening down the hatches
in their hedgehog houses in sheltered corners. And Very Important - we drained the outside tap yesterday, then OH wrapped it in a big wadge of bubblewrap and tape, just to be on the safe sidie. What have you done to prepare your garden for 'the icy blast!' so by Dovefromabove

SUPPORT FOR CLIMBERS ON PERGOLA
. You could of course just use twine wrapped round the upright.People use a mesh wrapped round the upright and wired together then tie into that, it all depends on how you wish it to look before the plant covers whatever you put on the post. Frank by pinkpeony

French tarragon - getting it though the winter
originated in Siena. Anyway, the only way we can get plants is to have friends bring them from Australia stuffed in a tennis ball tube with the roots wrapped in wet tissue paper. Don't know what your winters are like but if it doesn't get too freezing cold by Dovefromabove

Cordyline Australis - Brown Yellow Leaves :(
wrapped the plant up after the first few frosts and snow showers, after some nice weather last weekend I have taken off the bubble wrap and one of the 2 plants has lost all its colour and its leaves are quite dry, the other still has some colour and looks by Karl Phillipson

Rabbits have eaten my bark!!
heal and wrap it with? I really want to save and help them... I have had the same problem  a couple of years ago when it was very cold with snaow on the ground  I bought  some capilliary matting that is used to sit oots on   I coated the outside by jenni carys
