Hissing Bees??

be greatly appreciated. Many thanks They don't usually hiss - you generally hear a low buzzing. Thank you for your response Alina. There was a frog aswell in the grass, I watched that hop away and the hissing continued. I just thought it was a conincidence

a pond, slightly larger! 14' x 10', full of frogs, newts and other creepy things. It gets so fouled that we really should empty it and start again. This seems an impossible task though. Anyone had similar experience? We would love some advice

water left for remaining starlings!! I have another big wooden bowl with water they use as well. As I top up the feeders and feed the foxes early evening I can refresh the baths so most starling will get their bath before going to bed!The frogs


Draining ponds

in flower all year round. I've never seen a frog there but I know they're about as last year the pond was full of frogspawn and tadpoles. That was, until the pond was drained in spring.I never found out why the pond was drained. It was filled in again

the years they have completly disapeared and it's rare to site a butterfly unless it's a cabbage white, had lizards and frogs also a rare site now, I feel that when they built the M25 it was the death nell of all these creatures. sorry I spelt sight wrong

or above something as tiny as an old kitchen sink can become a friving place for frogs, newts and all the marginal plants that you will be able to grow will bring in aload more wilflife too. if you go for this option buy a small fountain pump to place
