now . iwas repotting my grape vines in one i found about 50 vine weevle grubs.i picked them out by hand washed roots then put in fresh compost then took great plesure feeding grubs to birds ,hope this dosent make me a bad person ,can any one tell me

.No idea about 2 though! Agree that 1. is Acanthus - or Bear's Bum as it was known in our tiny garden that it dominated. I think 2. is Leyceteria formosa - pheasant berry. I think they both need rotating 90 deg. clockwise to look normal ;- ) Hi there - well

). Emraa regarding slugs, try and encourage birds into your garden as they will eat the slugs. If you don't want to go down the chemical route a night time slug hunt by torch light will be needed. Put some beer in a bucket and just put them in there

and structure to your garden - just remember that they will need good quality compost - I find John Innes No 3 loam is the best one to use for trees - and this makes the pots heavy so if you want to move them around, plan how you're going to do this well
