ones. As long as you pick the right type and rootstock for a restricted form of tree then you'll be fine. For apples I'd go for a M26 rootstock, or if your soil is poor or the variety you're growing is a less vigorous grower then MM106 rootstock would

New apple tree

I boought a new apple tree in Lidl last month new leaves are growing from it allready is this normal, the air temp during the day  has been 2 -7 deg and at night 3 to -2deg c. at night my allotment is in Drogheda ,Co Louth, Ireland.   Thanks Derek

but to our disappointment, even though there was a lot of blossom, there are very few fruits on the tree and those that are there are falling. Next to it is a Sunset apple tree. LAst year it didn't fruit well and one branch's apples were small and tasteless
