On 06/01/2012 in forum

November. Seasons have seemed rather confused this year! I have loads and loads of leaves, and less and less time – result, an orchard lawn full of moss! Whilst I agree that gardening is a pleasure, one must remember that in order to support a garden

On 09/06/2012 in forum

, I'd like to adopt them if it's all right with you. I have to say that the girls have saved me bothering with the lawnmower this year - not that I ever had a 'lawn' but there were two green areas that had grass and assorted greenery. Not any longer, though

by the wind, animals etc. to the extent of a patch of our lawn being full of parsnips! so i don't want to assume this plant is a weed and just dig it up to find it was actually something edible. i don't want to leave it if it is a weed as it's taking water

ID of plant growing EVERYWHERE!

it out of the lawn but leave it at the bottom and sides of the garden where I am also growing little patches of wild flowers so it should fit in quite nicely! To stop it spreading do I just dead head it before it turns to the fluffy seeds? Also

What to do with a bucket of snails!!

On 03/08/2012 in forum

. I don't like to hear the crunch either. I've got a bucket half full with a strong salt and water mix and I go out last thing at night and pick up the snails from the lawn and any slugs I can see on the 2 patios. They all go in the bucket and although
