of Lilium, there are many types and various rooting systems, most are just left in the ground over winter, in any case most of them need to be in the ground or pots by Autumn. Stored bulbs shrivel and if you buy shop or garden centre bulbs it is best to rest


What do you do with Allium Bulbils

there is an orange lily which has the bulbils at each leaf joint, I set these in the same way and they germinate the year after . Sorry cant think of the name off the lilly .  The lily is Lilium lanceolatum,used to be L. tigrinum.   i have 7 lilly bulbis 2nd year

leaves in the autumn, so hopefully they'll do that soon after you've planted them - then the flower spike appears in the late spring.  Be prepared to stake them or give them some sort of support.  Lilium Candidum (Madonna Lily) if you want to look it up

tolerate lime, others don't. I grow lilium regale too.....wonderful scent, best of the lot. The worms will need something to feed on-I would invest in some well rotted horse manure add that to the soil- and work it in as best you can-the worms will move
