these pests in most of our containers.we have a large biscuit tin that fit in our oven and we clear out and replace any affected containers treat them with weevil killer and then each time we use our oven the tin is put in to cook the compost in the remaining

going to leave the old turf and then add top soil etc as a blanket-my feeling is in two years time you will be kicking yourself in anger Organic matter is manure or well rotted garden compost to add structure to the soil-I would prefer to spend money

.  Transparent to white worm-like things, will try and get a pic if that helps. Hi Emma, could they be vine weevil larvae? Take a look on a search engine to be sure. These are really common pests of potted plants and can do a lot of damage chewing on the roots
