This years fruit will rot and fall off anyway if it hasn't had time or enough warmth to ripen. If the bush is very big it's easier to sweep up the fallen fruit. If not very big then you could pick it off when it looks as though there's no hope

Our neighbour has a damson tree with much of the tree being in our garden.  Each year it is full of damsons but have never picked the ones our side because I don't really know what to do with them.  I do not want to make jam so is it best to freeze

only spume more, so reckon it's counterproductive since logically they'll suck extra sap to re-conceal themselves..?I'm inclined to just make sure I give it a thorough wash if I pick an affected section of plant, and check no nymph's still attached! I

get these on my Lilies and I find the only thing is to pick them off and discard them as you see fit, a bit labour intensive. I never use any insecticide as I also grow a lot of veg in my garden and do not want any run off etc etc... Yes but I agree

 climbing rose with black spot but a nearby honeysuckle and clematis have also developed black spots on their leaves Hi Zoomer!                      I imagine blackspot DOES spread, because the advice is always to pick up and destroy infected leaves, otherwise the soil

I now have some raised beds in my garden for veg growing  - the sort of stuff you want to pick little and often. In one bed I have errected canes for growing beans the length and breadth of bed. Anyone any ideas what i can plant in the centre
