I am planning to buy a rambling rose and see they are sold as bare root or container grown. Is there any beneficial benefit in which you buy ? Does one establish its self better or is there really no difference ? Any advice very welcome. Thanks John

rose Wendy, almost no leaves at all now despite regular spraying since first leaves in the spring. It's been in place for several years now on an arch, but I don't think I would put another rose in it's place because  the spores or whatever

Due to the snow and cold I havent done much pruning to my roses which are probably far too tall as I didnt prune last autumn either (new to gardening). Is it too late to prune them as they are no longer dormant? Would it do more harm than good
