Speckled wood butterflies

My 2010 garden tally of butterfly species is now up to six. We've had single visits from large white, comma, peacock and small tortoiseshell. They obviously didn't find much of interest in my garden, so dipped down, bustled about one circuit

Invasive plant

Could anyone please identify this plant it grows far to happily in shaded areas,  its deep rooted with brown ball like corm which detach from the plant when lifting ( one is sitting on left of stalk)  the leaves which are wild garlic like but smaller and have  no garlic like smel...
