It's not known as Epilobium, but Chamerion. Chamerion is Willow herb or fireweed, Epilobium is Rosebay Willow herb. I stand corrected. Thank you oldchippy

! If it is willowherb, and it does look like it, possibly rosebay, there'll be underground runners. Your plant looks like it's from a runner. Look for horizontal roots below the surface

rosebay willowherb too! They have reddish stems just like your pic. If it starts throwing up spikes of purple/violet flower heads that's what it may be. They produce thousands of seeds on each flower head and can be very invasive so pull it out or at least
