Flowers garden job checklist - week 18

• Plant gladioli in groups to depth of 10-15cm, planting onto gravel if you have heavy soil
• Complete outside sowings of hardy annual flowers
• Lightly clip box edging and topiary to neaten them up
• Spray new leaves on disease-prone roses with fungicide to prevent infection by mildew, rust or blackspot
• Prune early-flowering clematis, such as Clematis montana, immediately after flowering to control their size
