Take lavender cuttings
The wafting scent of lavender is a true fragrance of summer, but these plants can be sadly short-lived. So, to keep lavender lingering, why not raise new plants from cuttings? It's a simple technique that will provide you with more of your favourite plants for free.

- Keep baskets and patio pots watered
- Spray roses to protect them from pests and diseases
- Cut the foliage of daffodils and tulips down to the ground

- Plant out leeks and brassicas raised in a seed bed
- Spread mulch around crops to conserve soil moisture
