In autumn, find the Victorian arboretum ablaze with colour, or visit in spring to delight at the ground cover provided by orchids and bluebells. As you explore the 40 acres of garden, discover the sculptures nestled among ponds, terraces and herbaceous borders. Attadale Gardens

In 2021, Attadale Gardens were recognised as regional winners of the RHS Partner Gardens 'Feel-Good awards' . And it's no surprise, given, Attadale's idyllic location and beautiful planting. Attadale boasts many stunning vistas, benefitting from its position just across the water from the Isle of Skye. Described as a painter's garden, there is plenty to see at Attadale from Monet-inspired bridges, Japanese garden and many interesting sculptures. Bright maples, cherries and birches have been planted to provide bold colour in contrast with the dark green of mature conifers.

Ardtornish Gardens

As summer draws to a close and autumn beckons, find Ardtornish Gardens ablaze with colour. The gardens are sculpted from a rocky hillside and boast glorious views out across the Isle of Mull. Delight at the white flowers of the Eucryphia and pink of the winter-flowering cherries. Much of this 24-acre site is covered by native birch, alongside larch, fir and pine, which provide interest and form throughout the gardens.

Inverewe

Inverewe is also a great place to spot many of the UK's most exciting wildlife – keep an eye out for the big five: red squirrel, red deer, otter, seal and golden eagle.
