Narrow doorways lead into three interlinked walled gardens. The wilderness garden, despite its name, has a formal design of borders around an immaculate lawn. In the rose garden, you’ll find clipped yews, formal flowerbeds and fragrant roses, while in the ramparts garden you can enjoy beautiful views of the Lancashire countryside, Lake District and North Wales on a clear day.
