Originally laid out at the beginning of the 20th century, this five-acre garden has been extensively renovated in recent years, particularly the rockeries, bog beds, dry beds and herbaceous borders. These are filled with interesting and colourful ornamental plants, including many alpine and Himalayan gems, while fruit and vegetables are grown in the walled garden and orchard.
Check before you travel
Before setting off check the garden’s website or call direct, as opening details can vary and one-off restrictions may apply.
We advise checking the garden’s own website or calling them direct to ensure the published details are accurate, as opening times and restrictions may vary.
Always take your 2 for 1 card with you
Some gardens have pre-booking systems in place – take your 2 for 1 card with you to validate your booking.
If a garden offers both pre-booking and walk-up options, we recommend booking prior to your visit to avoid disappointment should the garden be busy.
Please don’t make multiple pre-bookings or share your 2 for 1 card – card misuse will invalidate your discount claim at the garden.
