Originally laid out in the early 1870s, this three-acre garden is divided into many individual rooms, ensuring you always have something new to discover. One undisputed highlight is the large fern house, built in 1875 to emulate an Australian temperate rainforest and containing Britain’s oldest exotic fern.
With the gradual easing of lockdown restrictions, gardens in the 2-for-1 directory are beginning to open.
To ensure the safety of visitors and staff, many have special measures in place, including pre-booking and limiting the number of visitors.
Before visiting a garden, please contact the garden directly to determine their opening status and any restrictions that may apply.
Please note: we’re unable to keep all individual 2-for-1 garden pages updated, but we will publish the latest details that we have on our weekly updates page from week commencing Monday 8 June, 2020.
