As well as spectacular spring daffodils (over 400 varieties), the castle grounds offer tranquil woodland walks with rhododendrons in flower through spring and into summer. In the walled garden, the family-friendly ‘playful garden’ includes vibrant planting, ancient apple trees, giant sculptures and a mini-maze.
The 24th Laird of Brodie was one of the great pioneers of daffodil hybridisation and it’s fair to say he was a fan of these seasonal blooms! He personally named more than 400 varieties – some after local places, others after his favourite operas, and even a few close friends. The Playful Garden, for younger visitors, is an interactive space with characters inspired by Brodie’s past. look out for George the orangutan and Brodie the giant bunny.
Check before you travel
Before setting off check the garden’s website or call direct, as opening details can vary and one-off restrictions may apply.

Always take your 2 for 1 card with you
Some gardens have pre-booking systems in place – take your 2 for 1 card with you to validate your booking.
If a garden offers both pre-booking and walk-up options, we recommend booking prior to your visit to avoid disappointment should the garden be busy.
Please don’t make multiple pre-bookings or share your 2 for 1 card – card misuse will invalidate your discount claim at the garden.
