Set within 80 acres of grounds beside the river Tweed, the gardens include an Edwardian-style herbaceous border, flowering shrubs, specimen trees and a well garden with vibrant candelabra primulas. The grounds also offer woodland trails and a tranquil riverside walk with lots of wildlife to spot along the way, including roe deer, mute swans, otters and even occasional seals in the river.
Important update
With the gradual easing of lockdown restrictions, gardens in the 2-for-1 directory are beginning to open.
To ensure the safety of visitors and staff, many have special measures in place, including pre-booking and limiting the number of visitors.
Before visiting a garden, please contact the garden directly to determine their opening status and any restrictions that may apply.
Please note: we’re unable to keep all individual 2-for-1 garden pages updated, but we will publish the latest details that we have on our weekly updates page from week commencing Monday 8 June, 2020.
