Chalk-filtered lakes, waterways, reeds, meadows and wet woodlands create a peaceful haven for wildlife on this beautiful 65-acre site at the foot of the South Downs. Keep your eyes peeled for rare and exotic water birds, as well as wildflowers such as bee orchids and snake’s-head fritillaries. You can also discover teeming pondlife, follow the boardwalk through towering reeds, and take the free boat safari to discover kingfishers and water voles flitting among the reeds and willows.
With the gradual easing of lockdown restrictions, gardens in the 2-for-1 directory are beginning to open.
To ensure the safety of visitors and staff, many have special measures in place, including pre-booking and limiting the number of visitors.
Before visiting a garden, please contact the garden directly to determine their opening status and any restrictions that may apply.
Please note: we’re unable to keep all individual 2-for-1 garden pages updated, but we will publish the latest details that we have on our weekly updates page from week commencing Monday 8 June, 2020.
