Home to the most diverse collection of living plants on the planet, the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, is a 326-acre World Heritage Site landscape. Whatever the weather, there’s always plenty to enjoy, including the tropical Palm House, many rare and beautiful plants, an 18m-high Treetop Walkway, and much more. New for 2019 is an exhibition of large-scale glass sculptures, set within the gardens and glasshouses, by celebrated artist Dale Chihuly (13 Apr-27 Oct). An exciting new Children’s Garden opens on 18 May, offering plant-themed fun and adventures, including a sand pit, trampolines and climbing frame. The beautiful new Evolution Garden also opens this summer, designed to show how different types of plants evolved.
