Hidden behind high brick walls, the Victorian kitchen garden is filled with exotic plants and heritage vegetables and fruits. The formal gardens also feature an Edwardian herbaceous border, ancient mulberry trees and a rose border. Beyond are seven acres of parkland with mature woodland, specimen trees and a sunken fountain garden, as well as a woodland walk with spring bulbs and lots of wildlife.
Important update
With the gradual easing of lockdown restrictions, gardens in the 2-for-1 directory are beginning to open.
To ensure the safety of visitors and staff, many have special measures in place, including pre-booking and limiting the number of visitors.
Before visiting a garden, please contact the garden directly to determine their opening status and any restrictions that may apply.
Please note: we’re unable to keep all individual 2-for-1 garden pages updated, but we will publish the latest details that we have on our weekly updates page from week commencing Monday 8 June, 2020.
