Through May and June, the Italian- inspired terrace gardens in front of the house are full of colour, with alliums, tulips, pelargoniums and roses, as well as climbers on the walls. Take a walk along the richly planted east border and enjoy views across the lake to the temple in the distance. This elegant Capability Brown landscape is a flowing mix of woodland and sweeping lawns, leading down to a sinuous mile-long man-made lake.
Due to ongoing rule changes in response to the coronavirus pandemic, public gardens may experience unforeseen restrictions and opening hours. If you can’t find the information you require, please call the garden directly. You’ll find website links and telephone numbers on the individual garden pages in this online directory
