Nestled in a valley in the Dartmoor National Park, this family-run garden of 24 acres features flowering shrubs, wildflowers and rare trees, set among lakes, pools and waterfalls. The spring and autumn colour is superb, with many camellias, azaleas and rhododendrons, an impressive Magnolia campbellii tree, stunning handkerchief trees (Davidia involucrata) and fiery-leaved acers. Before setting off check the garden’s website or call direct, as opening details can vary and one-off restrictions may apply. We advise checking the garden’s own website or calling them direct to ensure the published details are accurate, as opening times and restrictions may vary. Some gardens have pre-booking systems in place – take your 2 for 1 card with you to validate your booking. If a garden offers both pre-booking and walk-up options, we recommend booking prior to your visit to avoid disappointment should the garden be busy. Please don’t make multiple pre-bookings or share your 2 for 1 card – card misuse will invalidate your discount claim at the garden.Check before you travel
