With no manicured lawns or fastidiously maintained borders, Tanglewood Wild Garden is perfect for introducing children to the natural world. Here, the grass is left to grow, attracting insects and birds, and there are quirky features round every corner.
Wildlife and family-friendly, these nine acres of informal woodlands and ponds combine a peaceful atmosphere with a sense of fun. Follow the winding paths and spot quirky carvings and sculptures, as well as an array of birds, mammals and insects. To provide habitats and food for wildlife, everything is kept as natural as possible, with native trees and plants including brambles and nettles, plus the odd exotic addition. The garden also offers picnic benches, so you can soak up the garden’s charms.
Check before you travel

Always take your 2 for 1 card with you
Some gardens have pre-booking systems in place – take your 2 for 1 card with you to validate your booking.
If a garden offers both pre-booking and walk-up options, we recommend booking prior to your visit to avoid disappointment should the garden be busy.
Please don’t make multiple pre-bookings or share your 2 for 1 card – card misuse will invalidate your discount claim at the garden.
