Wooden structures are integral to our outdoor spaces, but they need regular maintenance to stay in good condition. Fortunately, Barrettine can help with that

Just what you need
A structure’s age, function and timber-type are all factors to consider when choosing a treatment. Generally, wood protectors, which are often used on pre-treated timbers, help to defend against the elements, while wood preservers guard the woodwork from insects and fungal decay.
Barrettine’s extensive range includes something for every wood type. These are the brand’s most popular products:
Barrettine Wood Protective Treatment
This best-selling protective treatment is ideal to use on pre-treated rough, sawn or smooth timber. As a wood sealer, it’s made with water repellent and UV fade resistant resins, which create a transparent finish without disguising the timbers grain.
The treatment also contains a film, biocide, which helps to prevent the surface growth of mould and algae, while also reducing wood decay, swelling and twisting. Plus, it’s free from insecticides, so it’s insect-friendly once dry.
Nourish and Protect Wood Preserver
As an oil-based, low-odour preserver, this product protects wood from insects and fungi. It works by deeply penetrating the wood fibres, helping to provide long-lasting protection from decay, infestation and the elements.
This effective preserver is available to buy in eight different colours including Clear, Natural Brown, Holly Green and Black, so you’ll be able to find a shade to suit all your wooden structures.
All-in-One Decking Oil
Outdoor decking can be prone to becoming worn and weathered, but with Barrettine’s All-in-One Decking Oil, you can make sure yours stays in top condition. This nourishing treatment repels water, UV rays and prevents mould.
And, thanks to its non-flaking finish, it can be used on all kinds of surfaces, including deck boards, tiles and balustrades. This oil is available in six natural shades, from Clear to Dark Oak.
Anti-Slip Decking Oil
Applied as a top-coat, this award-winning oil is a great follow-on treatment and helps to improve grip on decking, handrails and wooden steps. It also contains a UV stabiliser that slows discolouration and provides further protection against water, mould and fungus.
